Why I built this
I live in Manhattan and park on the street. Checking alternate side parking status meant Googling, finding a city page, and parsing a table. I wanted something I could glance at in two seconds from my phone.
What it does
Opens to a full-screen status: IN EFFECT (move your car) or SUSPENDED (you're fine). Scroll down for tomorrow's status and a 7-day forecast. Below that, an FAQ covering every common ASP question.
Data comes from the official NYC 311 API and the NYC Department of Transportation holiday calendar. Updates hourly, including real-time emergency suspensions for snow and weather events.
